As part of the 2008 End of Year Celebration, we will be announcing our 2008 Park of the Year!
It is that time once again when we look back at the wonderful parks that have been released this past year and recognize one of them as being the best! In past years, this was only eligible to our Vacation Parks from the past year however this year, we are going to make a few changes. The significant change is that now we will be accepting nominations from you the members on which parks you feel should be considered for this recognition. Below you will find the specifics around what parks are eligible for nomination.. Please note that you can nominate up to two parks for Park of the Year consideration. The staff will then select five parks from the nominations and will place them up for member voting during the EoY Celebration.
Nomination Requirements- Park must have been release here at RCT Space in the Loading Zone, Vacation Park, Runner Up, Weekend Getaway or any of our various contests.
- Park must have been released on or after 1/1/08.
There you have it. Remember, please nominate up to two parks via replying in this topic or sending me a PM. Also, just because someone else may have nominated a park before you, you can still nominate for the same park as we will be looking at number of nominations as part of our selection criteria.
Nominations close 11:00pm (Pacific Time) on December 13th, 2008

Welcome to the 2008 End of Year Celebration!
Yes friends, this last year is rapidly drawing to a close. The RCT Community has made a bit of a rebound and more folks are staying home with their monitors all aglow. We are seeing an uptick in interest and have responded first with our traditional EoY Celebration. There will be some jolly times and happy moments ahead, beginning with the Happy Holidays parkmaking contest (see announcement) where we invited the entire community to use the bench and make a holiday park. There will be a competition and voting to be sure…
Also on tap for the EoY will be some other parks (secret for now) and some of the usual holiday cheer of a 2008 Yearbook. The results of the 2008 Road Rally will be announced and a winner crowned. The 2009 Road Rally season course is nearly done being mapped out and will be kicked off as part of the EoY event.
Of course there is more, so have an eggnog, put on the warm slippers, and tune in for fun and surprises enough to last into next year. |
